The National Strength and Conditioning Association’s 32nd National Conference

The NSCA's annual national conference is being held July 8th-11 in Las Vegas, and any fitness professional that wants to become a better personal trainer should attend.  This conference is the largest get together of top-notch strength and conditioning professionals and provides an awesome opportunity for personal trainers and strength coaches to learn from the best people in the field.

The conference, which will be held at the Paris Hotel, will feature over 50 educational sessions, over 140 exhibitors of products and services, serve as an opportunity to meet people and further career opportunities, and is the site of the NSCA's Testing Index Championship Competition.

 

The Testing Index Competition consists of 4 events.

 

Each athlete gets a score in points for each event on a scale that allows for the differences in height, weight and gender and the winner of the competition will be the athlete who scores the most points.  The NSCA's Testing Index is a great tool that all personal trainers should utilize, and is appropriate for all clients, not just athletes.  These events serve as a great measure of progress and act as a challenge for clients of all ages and ability levels.

 

The educational sessions will feature some of the best and brightest minds in the field of strength and conditioning and will help all who attend to become a better personal trainer/strength coach.

In addition to the NSCA sponsored activities, USA Weightlifting will be conducting their Sports Performance Coaching Course in the days preceding the NSCA conference on July 7-8.  This event combined with the NSCA's 5-star effort will help fitness professionals of all levels become a better personal trainer.

 

Personal trainers should incorporate the NSCA's methods and earn their certifications, and attending this national conference will provide knowledge that can improve your personal training business.
