Take An End of the Summer Hiatus

I don't stop writing during this hiatus, as I'm in the processing of updating my book, "How to Make More Money as a Personal Trainer." A lot has changed since I wrote the book 2 years ago and it's high time I got to catching the book up, so to speak. Here's a quick rundown of some of the things I will include in the new edition of the book.
Since I wrote the book two years ago I have become a better fitness development coach. That's right, a fitness development coach. If you've been reading the site you'll know that earlier this summer I made a break from using the long-devalued and now derided term personal trainer. This is one of the best kept secrets - or worst kept depending on who you are taking to - in the business; the term personal trainer is looked down upon.
But I'm not going to go into the story in any detail here. Suffice to say, promoting the title fitness development coach will be one of my key points of emphasis going forward. Don't take my willingness to use the term personal trainer as a way to attract interested parties to PersonalTrainerCoach.com as a sign that I somehow approve of it. It's just a means to an end. After all, what's the use of using a term that nobody is searching for. So I will continue to use personal trainer as a way to draw people to the site, but I will encourage all to adopt the title fitness development coach.
In mid-September I will start posting new content and provide an update on the update of the book. Until then, I will be reposting some older content, bringing it back to the top of the front page.
Enjoy the rest of the summer. I'm looking forward to taking the site in a new direction and continuing with my mission of helping personal-trainers-turned-athletic-development-coaches be more successful.
